Future Medical and Equipment expenses are either recurring expenses that occur every
week or month such as pharmaceutical costs, or one-off costs such as surgery in
five years time.

Recurring Expenses

In calculating future recurring expenditure, LawCalc converts the annual,
monthly or weekly cost to a weekly cost and applies the relevant discount rate
to determine the future value. Recurring expenditure that does not start until
a future date can also be calculated, LawCalc then applies the deferred tables
before applying the weekly multiplier rates.

One-Off Expenses

Lawcalc calculates one-off expenditure by applying the deferred discount tables.
